Go down to your local plumber/DIY or Hardware shop, get a length of ABS or PVC polypipe:

Now I used a ring, split it to stretch over the end of the pipe and used this as a markup guide. I'll get a mitre saw to make this job a piece of cake in the future:

As you'll discover the wheel is BIGGER than the inside diameter of the pipe!:

This isn't a problem - believe me

When you've cut all 4 'tyres' deburr them inside & out (I use a pipe deburrer for the inside, and the concrete path I sit on to hacksaw the pipe, for the flat face)
Now comes the quart into a pint pot bit

Make sure you place the OUTSIDE of the wheel in FIRST!!! (it's a hell of a job if you do it the other way round)

Once you've got it this far down =>

...you'll need a flat object (book, piece of wood etc.) to sit on top whilst pushing firmly down, the last bit as the pipe pops over the bottom rim of the wheel finishes it off
There you have it, a set of RC Drift tires

All you got to do now is put two spots of superglue (CA/cyano) on one side of the wheel - I chose the outside - to stop it sliding off (it will if you don't) we aren't racing on rubber here so we don't need to run a bead all the way round on both sides of the wheel
Total time including making the RC Drift tires, putting everything away, booting up the pc, uploading the pics to the
RC DRIFT GALLERY and writing this article, - 2 hours
Now get down the store and get some ABS, you know it makes sense
