This could technically be my first post, havent been online in ages. Im looking at getting back into RC Drifting. At the minute i own a Tamiya TA-01 which im running on ABS tyres and locked the diffs. the car is fun but something isnt right about it. its not smooth like other cars you see people drifting. any tips on what Hop Ups i can get for my tamiya or what one i should look at getting. Or if anyone has one sitting around that they would consider selling. ive seen people talk about the TT-01 as a good starter or the HPI E10? any help would be great. Kev

some things to look at
has it got bearings, is there much wear in the moving parts, has it got friction shocks ( prob the problem if it has) whats the surface like you run on

camber arms on ebay yes but on the front i'd recommend using some TL-01 sway bar stabilisation adjusters, works great for me!

Personally, I wouldn't bother with sway bars, just get some oil shocks with 20wt oil and soft springs all round, or at least that's how I ran mine.
Camber arms would give you the option to change the camber, but mine was fine without any changes

Welcome along, fella. Nice to see another TL01 owner coming up to the fold. When you mentioned a 'TA01' I actually though where to start. Have never seen one. As for TL01 parts look no futher than the mecha.. www.rcmart.com I got my adjustable arms as well as a bearing kit from them. Prices are reasonable too. Bjorn

In my opinion, there's one thing above all others that a TL01 needs. I'll admit it's purely aesthetic though, it will have no performance gain. If you're hopping the rest of the chassis up too though you could try and find one in blue alloy, although these are somewhat rare > Click me! Stu
